Bulgari is a significant force in the realm of all matters luxury, and there’s not any denying that they can also be heavy hitters in the world of watchmaking. An understanding of trends helps keep Bulgari’s watch collections lively and interesting with a broad range from formal to hip styles, but backed up with remarkable in-house motions. For 2017, the trendy-looking “ultra black” DLC-coated Bulgari Octo Ultranero lineup was expanded with three new versions, including an entirely blacked-out model and one with popping red highlights, introduced in Baselworld. And, at the additional soul of bright colours on a pitch-black background, the Bulgari Octo Ultranero Americas Limited Edition later joined them with contrasting blue hands and markers.Built on Gerald Genta’s layout as a sports watch and released as a principal collection in 2012, the Octo has grown to be Bulgari’s most popular line of watches. Bulgari asserts the design for your Octo is in part motivated by the arches of the Maxentius Basilica from the Roman Forum, and we’ll take their word for this. One thing you can say for certain about the Octo is that it looks like nothing else, as well as the Ultranero versions are more off-beat. Bulgari’s Octo Ultranero watches, published initially in 2016, are constructed around the same reasonably sized 41mm stainless steel case as the Octo and powered with the in-house manufactured, highly decorated BLV191 Solotempo (time only) automatic movement with a 50-hour power book plus a rotor mounted on ceramic ball bearings. The motion is visible through an exhibition case back, and for its Bulgari Octo Ultranero Americas Limited Edition version the case back has got the design of the Americas in blue, although Bulgari has not given back images for the time being.
