The mens fake Portuguese Yacht Club Chronograph Edition Volvo Ocean Race 2011-2012 features some details, which have not yet been used in the ‘normal’ Portuguese Yacht Club collection.
The first winner already went to the first Volvo Ocean Race stage in Alicante (Spain), but the contest is still open until March 16 2012, and offers you the chance to be present at the Volvo Ocean Race stage in Miami. Click here to enroll the contest!
Let’s have a look at the movement, which is very interesting. IWC’s caliber 89361 is a fly-back chronograph that measures times up to 12 hours. This is especially handy for sailing races, when longer times have to be measured than possible on most normal chronographs. Because of the fly-back function, the chronograph can be started immediately after it has been reset.
In my previous post I already mentioned the chance to win a money-can’t-buy experience you can win. IWC offered the change to win a trip to one of the two Volvo Ocean Race stages, a Swiss-made fake IWC Portuguese Yacht Club Chronograph and a VIP visit to the Volvo Ocean Race Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing boat and private meet-and-greet with the team. Its case, measuring 45.5 mm, is made of titanium (!!) and it has a black carbon fiber dial with unique markers.
The case is water resistant up to 6 bar or 60 meters deep. That should be more than enough for some one who plans to stay on board. The titanium case measures 45.4 mm in diameter, is 14.5 mm thick and comes on a black rubber strap with folding clasp. Sapphire crystal on two sides and the one in the front has antireflective coating on both sides. And IWC copy watch still makes beautiful photos.
